Julia Smith is an associate attorney at Boyd & Early Family Law, where she focuses her practice on all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support and spousal support. Julia is passionate about helping clients navigate complex situations with empathy and has a personal understanding of the conflicts that can arise in family law matters.
Julia earned her Juris Doctor from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law, where she was heavily involved in internship and extracurricular opportunities. During law school, Julia served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Daniel J. Clifford of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, Family Division. She was also selected as a Research Assistant for the Villanova University Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation, providing vacatur services to human trafficking survivors. Additionally, she served as President of the Villanova Law Students Against Sexual Violence and Vice President of the Women’s Law Caucus.
Outside of the office, Julia enjoys painting, exploring local coffee shops and spending time with her friends and family.
Before joining Boyd & Early, Julia was an associate for two solo-practitioners in Chester County. In this role, she assisted in custody, divorce and support proceedings, drafted agreements and arbitration awards, and represented clients at contempt hearings.
Julia also co-wrote the case note, Back on Track: Third Party Child Support Liability Finally Clarified!, which was published in the Fall 2024 Pennsylvania Family Lawyer, Volume 46, Issue No. 5.
In 2024, Julia and her partner were recognized for their oral and written advocacy skills during Villanova Law’s prestigious Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition, where they were named one of the Top Twelve Appellate Advocacy Teams.
